That's what I was told by the officer twice but it hasn't worked out so well. You find out who your neighbors are when your ***** is in the hot seat. I'm going to try and rally those that will go with me in the morning to file a warrant against the owner. Those that won't can kiss my butt and bark at the hole

Chad I hope everything works out for you. My offer still stands, a 32 x12.50 tire or a simple little castor bean in a small amount of hamburger will solve your problem without the noise of a gun. In the meantime I'll keep you in my prayers.

I can't believe the police came after YOU...my parents are dealing with a neighborhood feud involving chickens and dogs (but in reverse...the chicken-owner shot a neighbor's dog in front of us as we walked on the road with my 3-year old...took a BLIND shot, at that). The dog lived, and the owners genuinely trained the dog to stay put on their property. The dog had never killed any chickens...was in fact sweet/friendly (although a bit of a nuisance before the owners took the time to work with her), but the fella was still mad...when the dog never came back to his property, he waited a few months, then trespassed on the DOG'S property and shot/killed her. He has also started employing baited BEAR TRAPS to kill neighborhood dogs (highly illegal, but the game wardens can't seem to bust him), and recently pulled a gun on a gal that confronted him about stealing some game cameras on private property (not his). HE STILL HAS NOT GOTTEN ARRESTED (although the police have been out multiple times). He waves guns around all the time, uses them irresponsibly, but NOTHING has happened to him. You try to defend your property, and YOU get busted! (?!?!?) Sometimes you have to wonder if there is any justice in the world...hope everything works out for you...

Thank you Lori and hello it sounds like everyone has missed you. I go to court in the morning

I tried to take out a warrant on her today, but after 3 people being bitten, and several calls on the dog she has never even been issued the first citation. Hell I guess I would let mine run loose too. 44-8-408 Dogs not allowed at large. I guess I will have to put up a fence sooner than I had hoped. I really miss watching them roam the yard, call me simple but that was the evening entertainment for me and mine with a glass of wine. I don't even want to talk about Rufus right now

if I had a dime for every time I heard well it's just a chicken I would have my fence by now. I have just kept myself very busy trying not to think about it, busier than a three legged cat trying to bury a turd. Thank you all for your comments and concern....Me

I had something very profound to say but after reading "the three legged cat" remark I can't stop laughing.....never heard that one Chad. But I know this is anything but funny to you. I will pray that the judge will listen to you even though the police wouldn't....there are good people out there and justice. I also want to tell you how admirable it was for you to not let this get you, to volunteer and work this out within yourself. God is good....remember that...and keep him in your heart.
