Thanks Donna....I thought you might know. Good thing I didn't take one, all I need is more rooster issues! But they sure were beautiful.

Yes, cockerals & I thought they looked like cochin thus why I asked about feathered feet.  So, no feathered feet but cochin/silkie mixed?

They where banty mutts

Anyone had a drop in egg laying after the rains? I have just one mixed cochin who lays a blue rgg, she is laying every day. Other then thst I maybe get an eg every other day from my other breeds.

I only have 1 pullet laying she laid 14 eggs in 19 days. Then she just quit for 6 days , I'be hot 1 from her since then but I'm pretty sure its a double yolker :-) not sure if it was the rain, but she sure has slowed up. I should have some more laying in the next week or two I think.

So back in the spring my son picked out two bantam chicks from the mystery bin at TSC...... one white and one black. The white was my favorite and was picked up by a dog..... I was very upset.

THEN there is this..... my oldest son comes to me almost weekly with this poor pathetic bird in his hands, and asks "are you sure this is a chicken"...LOL

Can anyone tell me what she/he is?? It's a tad camera shy, this was the best pic I could get

thanks

They have slacked off because the days are getting shorter..... most of mine are molting to some degree.

Just the opposite for me....for the first time in a long time I'm getting 3 eggs a day from 3 hens
