Yep Crooked Stick Feeds . Great folks Shannon and his wife are very nice easy going people. Chad you are using the 16% at that price, mine are all in molt so I am feeding the 22% it is $12.90 a bag. I still think that is good because as you say they eat it they do not play in it. I have also found that any that they do spill out is cleaned up too because its pellets and they can see it.
Thank you everyone for the well wishes on the new Grandbaby! This will make 4 and if my Daughter would have me a couple I would be as happy as the proverbial pig in poop!

Good morning folks!

I got a buff but last I heard she still had some white ones....She can't respond to PMs on her computer so when you contact her she'll either answer you on this thread or if you leave a number she'll call you......and welcome to BYC !!!

Hey guys just wanted to post my results with my feed experiments. I have tried a lot of different brands of feeds, good stuff when I had the money and the cheaper stuff when I didn't want to make the drive to TSC. I have tried Dumor, Purina, Faithway and the birds always wasted a lot of it. I cleaned the coops out today and I know I shoveled a half bag of feed off the floor...not good. I had heard about Crooked Stick Feeds in Doyle Tn and went to see what he had. I had explained that I had just purchased some Dumor a week before when I got there and just wanted to browse around and check things out and didn't need any feed at the time. We chatted it up a bit I told him about the feed going to waste and such, I do have the feeders that are made to help prevent them from throwing it out ( little buggers ) but it didn't seem to stop them. He said here take a bag on me and try this out, hey free feed lets try it right. I tried it in the big coop for a couple of weeks no waste at all awesome. I went and got more today to try with the others I cleaned the coops put down new shavings and fresh water. All 3 coops had some food left so no one was starving I emptied what food was left and replaced it with Tucker Feeds. I wish had filmed it or at least took some pics everyone was chowing down, actually eating it and not raking it out. Just a little over 11 dollars for a bag I am too thrilled with this feed and wanted to share. I have never seen them go after it like this before !
Thanks for the info....I"ve tried 2 different kinds of feed, and a bag of crumbles....they waste a lot. The best thing that seems to work is a mix of crumbles and Tuckers layer feed (thanks to Donna's suggestion on the Tuckers)....but.....they still waste a lot. Definitely going to try the black livestock feeder underneath....thanks!
