Check out these chicken ornaments the First Lady bought me! The Roo is holding a present and looks like he's shaking it and the hen is hanging a decorated egg! Love 'em!

How cute! I need to put a tree up.... Santa came by today, if I had been here he would have scolded me I am sure LOL But the boys got to see Santa... how excited would you have been to have Santa knock on your door????

Carol, I think we shared a customer today.... They picked up some Arucanas from you and came and got 21 little roosters from me

Well i need to cull and fry a few of my roos that i dont need but i dont have the heart to do it what will help me get through this lol I have hand raised these guys from chicks and i am attached but i cant sell them cause no one wants them so i want them in my freezer

I didn't think I could do it either, but if you are going to raise chickens.... you need to take the BULL by the HORNS or bite the BULLET. You can't raise chickens without a plan for roosters. My plan.... give them away as quickly as I can so I don't have much invested in the roos I don't need. Someone can raise them to eat and it is a win win for both sides. Older roos I will try to sell if they are good enough for breeding, if not I give them to the roo guys that do eat them.

I know i need to bite the Bullet but its going to be very hard i think i have talked my hubby into doing it for me but its going to be hard frying him up lol
