I agree with Donna about the height....especially in winter....had a short one at first and never will again.....also agree about going big. My original coop was supposed to hold 4-6 turned out that was only if they were sardines.....I now have 6 in one that holds 18-20 and can add a few more comfortably.You will regret a short coop, run. The first time you have to CRAWL in to get, say an egg.... it will not be that bad... the next time and the next time and the next time.... it will get old. My runs are about 4 1/2 feet tall... I wish they were taller, but I didn't have a choice in that.... materials dictated the size.
It is kinda cute with the garden on top and all. you can add some cuteness to it with paint and such. ALWAYS ALWAYS make the biggest coop you can.... that you will not regret. I need more pensAFTER I MOVE I can have MORE PENS![]()

No, I am really trying to hatch some SLW, they roos are just not WORKING FOR THEIR FEEDDonna do you do that just to check fertility? If my broodies eggs dont hatch i may have to come get some chicks from you if you have any. :-D
