Thanks Hardinpoultry.....I'll try it. No I don't want her to go broody.....in fact, she's not even sitting on eggs!! She is also the only one of the five that refuses to sit on the roost at night, she ALWAYS sleeps "under" the nesting boxes in a little space

Anybody have any tolbunt polish frizzles.....I've been bitten by the bug and have to have one, but online you can only get eggs and
A. I don't have any way to hatch them and you have to buy like a dozen at a time
B. I only want one female, chick or pullet.....

Our trio is a frizzled roo over smooth hens. HOWEVER they only arrived last week so if you haven't found anything by fall check with me. It will take that long to hatch and sex it, lol

Welcome new folks! There are a few Nashvillians on here. My wife and I are about as Nashville as it gets- right at 8th and Wedgewood. We started from chicks in February and are anxiously awaiting eggs in June.

DMRippy- Our favorite bird is a blue marans that we got from Econman and I believe it came from your stock. It's not laying yet, but she sure is purty! She also has a great personality and makes the funniest noises, sounding more like a little piggie than a chicken at times.

Everyone, we have a question for you. Our birds only go into the coop at night if I leave a light on for them. I can't decide if they are just being stubborn adolescents or if my neighbor's security light in the alley is confusing them, making it look like dusk too long. Thoughts?

You might be right about the light. Can you do something to BLOCK it from their view?

I am just now sitting down for the day. It was a long day, I had to run to the post office in Donelson and they were closed when I got there, but they had not collected the mail from the drop box

I did get the trash hauled off, went to cut the yard & the cable that engaged the blades broke. It's always something isn't it !!
