Does anybody have OEG Bantams or know any breeders? I'm wanting to get a few I'm interested in BB Reds, Red Pyle, Brassy Backs, solid blacks and Blue Wheaten
We do wheaten, blue wheaten, and silver duckwing. Wheaten and blue wheaten have been successfully shown at the junior level and did pretty good at the open level. My son's birds and he is 12...got so excited when he was beating the "old timers". I had to take him outside to explain the whole concept of humble winner. HA

Was that your best sales pitch?

IT WAS NOT ME! Silkies are MY LIMIT. I get enough MUTANT chickens without intentionally buying some.
HA, HA, HA- *insert sarcastic tone here*

Sales pitch.... I can't think of anything that would want anyone to buy them. I can go to the next show and hand them out to kids and run before the parents notice what I have done. Seriously they are out of VERY good show stock.

Can you tell I am trying to catch up on some posts....

I have one hay bale left is someone wants to come get it... never wet huge round bale

Soroco- love the nest boxes

BKPuckett- really nice roos but I am getting out of Orps otw would so get one

Cinny- have more buffs hatching

. You know you want to add some more.

DOES anyone want to get some black east indies ducks or sebbies.... have birds and no buyers....AAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHH

Matlock- only problem will be the membrane trying to shrink wrap during the hatching phase. Donna has the best suggestion of putting wax on the end.

Becky.... Look what we made These are some TEST chicks from the pair of WL/Ex crosses. What do you think we got? Good layers? LOL This one looks BLUE????? Group shot 4 whites the blue in the middle and the red head on the left and the black on the right. Sorry not a great picture but see the red? Look at that face love the red though. I am going to keep the colored ones... sell the white ones.
OH I like! Great job Now the wait to see what they feather out like and what they lay! Cool on the blue and the red head, wonder where they popped in from.

Congrats on the strawberries.
I got to eat my first one this past weekend. I was so excited because I worked so hard for them to survive. I didn't work as hard as you though....I guess that was why I ate a handful vs 5 1/2 lbs.

Donna or Becky,
Which one of ya'll were wanting showgirls? I have some due to hatch soon and I only got these eggs for the silkies. Of course I am NOT counting my chicks before they hatch but planning contingencies should any of those ugly mutant ostriches make their appearance.

I was looking for some White Silkies but would be interested in the "ugly mutant ostriches" also! Are they going to be white?

It does have a roost. Half the time he uses it and the other he just snuggles up in a corner.
Should I be looking for some ladies around his same age or does that not matter? I also wanted some high productivity hens, light Sussex or something, would that mix well with a cochin silkie? I read that they are pretty docile.
My Silkie refuses the roost too....always snuggles up in a corner

Over in Ethridge - one of the century farms over in Amish county (but owned by the English). We've got horses, and have found pretty slim pickens for good hay around Columbia/Spring Hill...

That's cool. My mother-in-law lives up in Ethridge. We got up there fairly often.
