Pretty sure CarolJ does.

I've gotten so many emails from people want Cream Legbar hatching eggs or chicks. However, my Cream Legbars are on strike - or rather - they aren't laying right now. I get an egg every now and then. And when Donna tried to hatch some of my CLB eggs last month, they turned out not to be fertile. Apparently the rooster is also putting all his energy in molting and re-growing feathers. Once they finish their molting and these shorter days get longer - they'll hopefully get back to laying - and the rooster will get back to his duties as well.

hi everyone! I just found this thread and am trying to catch up lol. I am from Rickman Tennessee(near cookeville). I I am still green behind the ears started with a few day old leg horn flock from our local farm supply. they are now almost 9 months old. I have decided that the leg horns are not the chickens for me being as they are so darn picky lol they love to free range but they don't get much nutrition out of it. I now have 3 barred rock 2 golden buff to Rhode Island Red hens and 1 Rhode Island Red Rooster. they are only 2 months old. I love them already they eat far better than the leghorns ever did. I can't wait to get my first brown egg from chickens that actually love their greens! by any chance is there a lady on here who is good friends with the Barefoot farmer? I ran into her several times in red Boiling Springs and she has tons of chickens also sells honey baked goods and other things during events at the long hungry Creek Farm. I enjoy speaking with her and would love to know how to contact her. also if anyone knows of chicken/ farming/ gardening related events seminars and other things in the area please fill me in. does anyone know a local source for organic feed?
