Leah I'm no Vet, but generally a pale or purple comb would be cause for a little investigation. How is she doing and please share your findings...ChadHELP FOR THE NOVICE!
So, I've got almost 1 full year under my belt, but this is my first molt experience...
Violet (BLRW) has been molting for about 1 1/2 months...gradually & slowly. Her comb and wattle have remained pale, but lately it looks almost WHITE. Is this normal, okay, or should I be concerned?
Here's Violet in the middle...

Quote: My SLW her comb is really pale, almost white. But white white would concern me a bit... have you wormed her? Is she ok other wise? Eating and drinking ok? Not losing weight? It is not frost bite, she has a rose comb so not as likely to get frostbite.
Thank YouThere is a woman in Sparta her name is Betty Meadows she raises the Welsummer. I think I have her number at home I will look when I get home for you.
