I forget how many I started with now but no roo and 3 hens later here we go. You guys get the chocs going and i'll be working on cuckoo orps to put over them

Finally at 39 weeks old my only chicken that had not started laying, is finally laying now...just today she laid her first egg! she is a silkie but I did not expect her to wait this long to lay her first egg..her sister started laying last month and is already trying to go broody LOL



Ok this has nothing to do with what I posted above but I just had to share this pic...This is my young Black English Orpington rooster Henry!
he is so proud of himself, sorry for his messy tail feathers today is a windy day so he is sporting the wind blown look

He is Huge! I have never seen a rooster as big as him, he towers over my RIR's, makes them look like bantams LOL
and that other black EO in the background is the other pullet that is not laying yet...but I can tell her comb is getting bigger and redder!, so maybe soon!
