The Middle Tennessee Thread

Understand completely! I have always been the "doer' of my family and due to medical issues just cant do it anymore. I have TONS of books I will pass along to you. A variety of different stuff. I had several boxes of books given to me and I have been passing them along to my oldest son as I have read them. Any he has kept are yours!

Thanks you guys for all the positive thoughts, prayers and PMs.

Cinny- you are so right- nobody can fix anything and I'm not expecting a magical fix everything answer. I just needed the opportunity to talk to someone. You guys are the best "someones"

Anne- good to hear from you. Miss you. How is you Dad? Looking for a buff roo btw.

Donna- thanks. I just don't want to whine so I have been bottling things up. I finally reached the point I had to say something. Did you candle those eggs yet?

Becky- really appreciated the PM. The big ears and shoulders pictured in my head made me laugh out loud. I really needed that.

New2chicks- send me a list of titles. I love books more than you know.

If I didn't specifically mention you above, the omission is not meant to be rude, I really appreciate all of you.

To all the new folks, I am not normally a whiner.

On a good note, I do have sebastopol goslings and black east Indies ducklings running amuck in the yard with my displaced silkies. I may have to steal the "hoopty coop". HAHA

Dang, Lori. I just gave all of my buff roos to my rooster guy. I'm sure they are all at Camp Kenmore by now. :( I should have babies hatching in a few weeks though. I'll save you a boy out of that.

Thanks for asking about Dad. He's doing great and is mostly back up to speed. I think his back still hurts him some and he doesn't have the mobility in his shoulder like he did before the Big Crash, but it is at a manageable level. He did the Walmart shopping the other day and he is cooking again, so I guess he is fine. :) He and Mom have started their new little house in Chapel Hill. They will be moving out there in June and we will be getting their old house ready to sell. If you know of anyone who wants a three bedroom house in a nice old neighborhood in Columbia, let me know. :)

Call me sometime and we'll go grab lunch. I'm still working near downtown. I've been so out of the loop this winter. I hate that you are having such a time of it. :(

Lori- Do you have access to a Kindle or something like that? There is a statewide program where you can go online with your library card and download books directly to it. I read voraciously and that is the only way I can keep new books coming in! The program is called TN READS. You do have to have a valid library card from your local branch. You can borrow up to 15 books at a time for up to three weeks. At the end of your borrow period they just take the book back. You never have to do anything. For me that means no late fees!! :)

Hope this helps!
