The Middle Tennessee Thread

New to this area (from Texas.) Looking to start a small flock at my new home. Veterinary (large animal) background. Purchased 90 acres with outbuildings and a beautiful facility that could easily house 30+ birds. Its just my wife and young daughter, so we are not looking for too many. 6-10 max. We grow and raise the majority of our food. Looking to add eggs to our repertoire.
Wondering if somebody could point me in a good direction. I'd love to buy a flock that is producing (or will when the weather turns.) But I wouldn't say no to a reputable hatching facility for some chicks. Thanks for all the help!

I am going to be thinning down soon and be replacing some birds with new pullets. I will have some Blue Barred Rocks, Maybe some Black and Blue copper marans and a few Cuckoo Marans. They are only a little over a year old I just need to make room for the new girls. I might even have some Leghorns too. I am going to wait till this cold weather is OVER before I start moving and selling birds but I could anytime really. Maybe even an Eng Orp or two.

I have some Black Copper Pullets that are at point of lay too.

If you want more info just PM me (you can click on my name and it will come up in a drop down menu) you might want to include your email I think they limit new members to a few messages.

I am not that far from you we are in Ashland City area.
