The Middle Tennessee Thread

Hey everyone has anyone do e fodder? I'm about to start my fodder system and if it works out I'll share pics and tips!

I thought about it but I don't think I could keep up with all my chickens. From the little I followed on the thread MOLD is a big issue and I think at my farm it would be IMPOSSIBLE in the summer here to keep mold out of the fodder so I didn't try it. GOOD LUCK though.... I think it would be a great help on feed.

Ah ha! Kind of like fermented feed, but not really.

ill try it and keep you posted and I think the molled would be easy to handle because I watch this chick on YouTube and she is awsome and has talked a lot about that but yeah

So to do that, I just buy a big bag of seed at the feed-store and do the soak-in-water process? Or do you need seed specific to planting, or are they all the same thing?

Make an appt for a vet to come out
They will need some water, a table to sorts for the testing equipment, some "chicken rustlers" (usually you unless you have some kids) and $25.
How many do they test? I have heard some states require 100% and some states do not.

Thank you. That is what I thought but I seemed to be reading conflicting info. Maybe I shouldn't try to think too hard when sick. I couldn't do basic math with a calculator this afternoon in Alg. II. My students thought I was nuts.
