King or Rat snake ( unsure as to which it is) harmful to chickens? Discovered what I estimated to be a 5ft long 1.5 round black snake on a dirt pile we have in the future goat pasture and need to know about it and my chickens. I want it to stay around if it's harmless because it's eating the insane amount of mice we have and I believe keeping the ugly snakes away ( fingers crossed.

I need copperhead protection as our property backs to deep woods. Give me some suggestions PLEASE! DH wants a donkey but finding one cheap that can be hauled ( no truck or trailer, stupid us for trading truck for car then buying farm )

Guineas maybe?

Geese and pigs eat snakes, I think a flock of guineas will take them on. Black snakes, kings or racers will eat poisonous snakes. My corgi was herding something up our driveway, my DH went to see what she was herding right to him. it was a baby king snake. We put it in a the pasture, a dry creek runs through and i worry about snakes when it rains alot. Didn't worry much before my husband did work on the breaker box, he had to take the cover off and found a L o n g snake shed inside

No, I doubt they were at the show. There might have been something isabelle at the show but probably not leghorns

His pics don't do them justice they are REALLY REALLY PRETTY. The are basically like the hen with the lavender gen. So everything that is black on her is lavender and everything that is red on her is cream or darker. If you look close you can see the chipmunk strip still on the chicks heads.

Pig is on the list of animals we want but finding one we can afford is proving hard. Prices are so high for animals right now! I'm sick with the prices of bottle baby goats and sheep.

I hear you, I want a KuneKune pig and OMG the prices are way to high. What breed of goat are you looking for? I have 3 preggie girls - Nigerian Dwarfs.
