The Middle Tennessee Thread

There is a very good chance my family will be moving to Lawrencburg TN soon. We have four red stars and I would hate to give them up. We aren't sure if we will be living in the city limits or not but because it will be a quick move our first house will probably be temporary and inside the town limits. So my question for Lawrenceburg folks is about town ordinances and poultry.? Are Chickens allowed within the town limits or will we need to make other arrangements?

OK, my 7 month old Buff Orp hatched 12 chicks out earlier this week. So far so good, she takes them out during the day to forage with her and at the day they go back to the stall they were hatched in. It is not secure like the coop or my brooder. Should I move them to the brooder or just leave them alone.
It would really depend on your predator situation. Only you can really determine that. The chicken and chicks sounds as if they are doing fine together.

I would contact the city directly to ask. But I would also start looking for a place to move to, you can start with an ad on LSN or Local Sales Network asking if anyone has a rental property available. We are about 3 hours away from there and here we usually have a good supply of rural properties for rent. Good luck
