Still have that free pair of Bantams from Jenski's birds...hmm and more chicks than I want to count..OE EE Barred Rocks black/blue Fun laying mixes,BO and I think there is a roodle in the BO kids,Bantam Cochins, and whatever else is hiding

The only good broody I have is one of my white leghorn hens..yeah but she can't read so she doesn't know

My other ladies spend most of their time smashing the eggs and hatching nothing after all their efforts.

If it helps, that black roo she got from me came froma mix of Gardner and either Cree or Pips&Peeps lines. I can't remember who his mama is. If he looks like his daddy he is a strappin' lad and should be a good rooster.

We definitely need to put together a spring poultry swap. Let's talk more about it when CityGirl gets back from her wonderful Italy trip later this month!

Okla it is them..they are a nice bunch but I'm about to be very crowded now the entire new house will be brooder and grow up only. There is also a what is looking like a nice blue pullet that's about 4 months I think I stuck that in the ad..she can sell with them or by herself .The blue lady has a few black splashes on her but the young pullet doesn't The black pullet I mentioned in an earlier post has been spoken for already.
I like the chicken swap idea..my house now bring cages(and a little cash for some)
If anyone wants to work on a cornish meat bird I have several White laced red cornish Roos that are not beefy enough to eat imo so we are working on a meat cross but I don't need 4 roos-maybe someone wants to try their own. They are super mellow and a bit stupid but free to anyone that want's to take on a project.
Snow is trying to melt into that mud now but still so much ice..I want spring!

Stanglover, my best broodies (other than my crazy barred cochin hen that stays) are my White Leghorn/JerseyGiant girls. When they aren't broody, they lay up a storm too! My girls are just over a year old...maybe 1.5 years? I think I hatched them september 09.

anywho, if you were interested in buying, I would part with them. They are not friendly birds that are used to being handled, they will run up for treats but otherwise free range in my yard.
