Matlock you have plenty of room.I have had the eggs laying so close they can't move and the chicks hatch fine. I'm not the one to ask about lockdown..I don't worry my brain with such stuff.We dry incubate and many times have gone in and found the chicks riding the roller coaster turners because I forgot some..you would think the big date wrote on the egg would keep that from happening but it doesn't
When they are in "lockdown" I open the bator if I need to..quickly and never leave it just open but it doesn't hurt the chicks from hatching.What hurts the most we have found is too much humidity.When I quit worrying about the "rules" my hatch rates went way up..

All of these are 2-8 months old some ladies may be laying some roos are free don't want to get in trouble with byc police so PM me I'm still doing lots of number reduction here
