The Middle Tennessee Thread

oops my bad..he's a black mottled. His chest is still all white but you can now see the black coming in there. He should have some real nice color when he's finished.I'll try and get a picture of the splash roo..I have way too much money in him.Bought a pair and shipped them but she was so full of mites and lice I couldn't save her. He's pretty but smaller than what I want in that pen.

Hey Alex was that all you ended up with yesterday? My muscovys turned out to be a pair so I am set now with what I want. I'd hang on to the giants and let them grow up. They will sell great next spring and especially since you will have a trio. Besides they might "grow" on you!lol. Now ,how many rats did you want!lol Just kidding. I'm taking the extra male and two females to Elkton. I have four EE bantam young birds I will proably take to. That doesn't leave me with any of the EEs I have raised this year, but I want to get some out of my new roo anyway.

Yea Im going to keep them. Unless roo gets agressive. The hens will be nice to have. And will be to heavy to carry off by a hawk.

I'll take the black mottled if you want to throw him in there

I am pretty sure I am going to split my flock into 2 to 3 smaller ones, so I am "auditioning" new roosters

What are you asking for the splash guy?

I'm going to go out and get pics of him today..not sure on his price yet.The black mottled boy should audition well for roo status..I'm only keeping my one boy for now since I have cut that pen back so much now.
The kids mentioned selling the blue Cooper bred hens and not buying them a new roo so if they decide on that we may sell the splash roo and the black jr roo with them and just sell them out totally.I cant imagine them parting with the blue hens so once they really think about that it could change-but it is their flock not mine.
All of the Ameraucana's are sold now

Hate doing that but it will make another pen for the Wyandotte's

Now if this cool weather hurries up and gets here so I can go clean out the pens without being miserable they sure do need it
Baby Bunnies will be ready to go to their new home around the 25th of this month..They are all going to be fluffy little lionheads..pet quality but they are adorable and used to being cuddled.

Here is a cute little update..Lucky is doing great and is now taking on the Universe..or at least everything under the house roof.

Hello fellow chicken horders!

We have restocked our flock this spring and have a few extra roo's that need to find suitable quarters elsewhere. One is a bueatiful buff brahma banty, another is a sikly mut mix of something, and a third possilble black cochen banty roo. DW is still deciding on the cochen roo, but the first two are open for adoption now.

If there are any takers out there, they are hatched from Ideal this past April.
