This was very nice thank you. It is very hard work and very time consuming. THe downsize my hubby encouraged made me realize just how much time I spend with the chickens. I have however still spent as much time with them but more enjoying and not so much being a slave to them. I am considering keeping a smaller number high quality birds in the future. I really don't want to work myself to death with them.

I am very pleased with the stock I have now. May still cull out 2 black hen though.

I am headed out to spend the day with Jack on Saturday picking out birds and talking chicken. Which reminds me Jack Ferguson is running for ASBC President and I am a very firm beliver he deserves your vote. I could sing his praises all day but won't. He is one of the best people I know not to mention very knowledgable, easy to approach and always ready to give tips. I love love LOVE JACK! I consider him a very dear friend, but if you are undecided about who to vote for please consider Jack. Not to mention I will always be able to say I beat the ASBC Pres. with my babies. haha Jack!

Jack Chocking my splash showgirl I hatched from the Pullet he sold me last year.

Seriously though my life is more enriched simply because these 2 men are in it.

Well, three hatched, one drowned.. thought thw bowl was high enough, have another one zipping now. One chick looks to have something wrong with its legs, maybe straddle legged. Boy are they cute. Had two hatch at school and 6 pipped and zipping.

Hey countrypunk,
If you have one with spraddle leg, where the leg sits off to the side, you can correct it with bandaids. Wrap the bandaid around the good leg up high, then bring the bad over till it is straight and wrap the bandaid around it so that once done it's like a brace that will not allow the bad leg to go out sideways. You can search it on the forum here, I've read several threads about it.

Boy... ya'll sure are makin' me fight the urge to put the plug back in the wall!

Yea i know. I will be using a hair tie or bread tie instead. Bandaids are srlticky and pulls out feathers. Im about to go for another hatch. Got 34 eggs atm. When olka donates some eggs ill start it. Btw I hatched another one. Mainly EEs. Suhweet.
