The Middle Tennessee Thread

Great lines behind the AMs, they would compliment what I am working with too!!
I am interested...But can't get out to L'Burg until next weekend....I have DH's Bday tomorrow, I am judging a dogs show at the Fairgrounds in Nashville on Saturday, and picking up a female dog to breed to one of my studs in Bowling Green on Sunday...
And I just came in from an emergency call in BrushCreek...A dog was shot through the front of the neck with a 22......Lots of cleanup and support therapy...But I just got to eat dinner, and now I am going to shower and go to bed!!

I'm so jealous! Donna, that maran egg is gorgeous! So exciting. Maybe by this time next year I'll have a maran laying those gorgeous dark eggs.

I'm missing Marans eggs, too. However, I have already arranged to get those in the spring. Since I hatched out 5 Welsummers, I'm hoping to get some pretty dark and/or spotted eggs by springtime - if all the chicks aren't roos. I keep looking at all these chicks trying to see signs of roo of hen. But I have no idea right now.

My egg carton is complete!

I found a nest box full of eggs and found another new blue egg layer and I looked one more time before I left and thought "I should look in the MARANS too" WHAT A SHOCK!

They are only 20-22 weeks old! I didn't expect eggs for another month! Now I think I only have one hold out on the 8 MONTH OLD PULLETS!

I hope that was not too much build up!

Mine are 2 1/2 and 9 mths. The 2 year old is easy.... Lets go to bed is all it takes. The 9 mth old has his own schedule... need to fix that fast!

My hens are 26 weeks old and no eggs so far.

Bad bad, Becky!!! Now you are tempting me!!!! These chickens are like crack and you guys are the pushers!!! I do feel better this morning. I know it was only one dose of antibiotics but I don't feel like I need to go back to bed.

Just let me know when we are getting eggs again after the first of the year and I will start my little collections so I can have a bigger hatch...

Do you have solid black Marans yet? I have the most beautiful pair from Becky's chicks but I have decided I DON'T need another color so...man the roo is purrty and the hen isn't anything to snub either

They are 4 months or close to it BIG and it won't be long for those eggs I think they would look real good with your others
