Got a quote from them for putting pipe in to for my son's house and they wanted are you ready for this $15,000.00 that is a new small car!!!!!! Never call them again. They may be good but at those prices I can't use them.
We know several real good plumbers not sure if they go to M'Boro though but they are as swamped as we are.I wouldn't let one in my door that could come asap this time of year..they are not busy for a reason
I'm soooo glad I never have to hire any home stuff done.
Anne I hope your plumbing problems have been resolved at a reasonable price. I was thinking about you this morning.
Looks like a day for everyone to stay cooped in, this weather is awful. I figure I will lay around and watch the first 3 films of the Twilight series getting prepared for the premier on Thursday night.
I hate rainy days but will enjoy the break for a change. It is going to be cold tonight so everyone make sure all your critters have good shelter. I currently have 4 dogs, 2 hens, and 3 brooders and a snake in the house so I am a bit crowed myself.
Tracy thanks for the bator not sure how I will stay married much longer if I have the ability to sit 168 eggs at one time. Are you trying to get me single again?
Well, the good news is that I found a great plumber. The bad news is that the entire system has to be replaced. Apparently whoever put it initially did a horrible job and just sort of rigged it all together. One of the pipes had broken and was dumping water under the house. The pipe to the septic was the wrong size and was clogged. The main water line coming into the house also has a leak. Fun times. The plumber headed off to the store to get parts and is heading back later to rebuild my system. At some point in the near future he is coming back to rebuild the fresh water system. It's all wrong too. Yay.

If anybody needs a good plumber in the great Murfreesboro area let me know. This guy is VERY reasonable, super nice and seems to know what he is doing. My old farmer friend (who also installs septic systems) recommended him to me and he trusts him. I will happily pass his name and number on.
@ CityGirl Wow, so sorry about your water problems, that sucks!! Good thing you have someone you trust to work on it tho... Spent Wed. driving through some of the worst rain ALL DAY long, all the way to Parris Island, but got to visit my son and watch him graduate into the Marines this AM, then another LONG drive with lots of heavy traffic home today, just got home, whew!! SO PROUD of my son, Dylan, the new Marine!!!! Words do not adequately express how I feel right now!!!
Countrypunk92 - I'm so sorry! He was beautiful. Do you have any idea what happened to him?
Alaina - Congratulations! I have a special love for the Marines. My father was a marine - fought in WWII.
CityGirl - Hope all the plumbing/water issues will be resolved quickly.
It's a beautiful day! Lots on my "to do" list. We are having Thanksgiving dinner at my house tomorrow night - just the kids and grandkids. I might go to my mother's in Georgia on Thursday for Thanksgiving dinner.
