I went to the Murfreesboro Trade Days last time. They set it up in the corner of the co-op parking lot. People had lots of poultry, sheep and goats. I took a bunch of silkies. Last time there wasn't a huge turnout and I sold nothing. Some of our other members did okay. My impression was that people were looking for "regular" chickens (not the fancy breeds) and that they all wanted a deal. I got there later than I intended. I think our other people got there between 8 and 9 am. By noon it was all over.

Bring some shade for your birds. There is none out there. There is also no water, so you'll want to bring your own. Bring a chair for yourself. It got toasty last time and I was glad for the shade of my car.

I found them at ridgetop mowers. He's got about 60 more. The number for the shop is 855-0044. Their located on the corner of highway 41 & industrial blvd. In Springfield Tn. I would be glad to talk to the guy & see if we could buy a bunch & get a discount. Just let me know.

I just talked to the owner. He said someone was supposed to come by & buy about 40 of the boxes & once they were gone his price would go up to 5.00 $ on his next shipment. So if you really want em & want em as cheap as possible bettery hurry

Anne.... I think all but 4 of your eggs hatched.... I found that to be the case in just about every basket I had

I thought I had about 80% hatch.... I am thinking I got more than that. I still have not weeded through all the baskets.... I had to quit. I got through the Marans... all but maybe 8-10 didn't hatched. All the EE and Olive Eggers basically hatched. I finally got Leghorns to hatch... RIR hatched well too.

Troy... I only got 2 Barred Rocks that look like pullets, BUT I am not done so I will update you later. I have another basket to look through that is mostly blues so we will see. NH will not hatch till next week.

I need 3 of those boxes, BAD. I will TRY to call him tomorrow. I am just OVERWHELMED with chicks.

I have Reg Breeds for the trade thing... so maybe that will be a good thing.

I sold 3 ROOS today too.... and my flock of RIR tomorrow!

I have a RIR that is almost two weeks old so I have no idea if she is a roo yet but if she is you are welcome to her. Until she crows I have no idea of her sex though. We are calling her "her" with optimism.

Donna, you must be covered up with chicks! You set a ton this time!! I haven't done a head count. They are zippy little things and keep moving around on me. I know there are a number of eggs left in there this time. It's not turning out to be a spectacular hatch. I know there are at least 4 blacks out and a blue and splash from my pens. There is also 7 welsummers that made it out. I'm not seeing anymore pips so we may be done.
I do still have half a dozen under a broody. She should start popping out babies soon.
