First i'd tell the neighbor they owe me a chicken & for all the eggs you would have gotten from it & that I'd settle for their dogs head.
Unfortunately death is part of life. Be honest tell her how it happened & that this is why there are laws against letting dogs run free., she'll be upset & cry I'm sure. Sorry for your loss & the heartbreak forth coming.

OMG Chad !!!!!!!! She is going to be heartbroken but you will have to just tell her. Tell her also that next time she visits I will come up with something. They should start to lay soon I hope but when ever they do the first hatch is hers to choose from. Tell her I am so sorry. Your neighbor owes you that is not an easy one to replace.

DOH! I was going to go back for some more. Oh well, I'll keep an eye out...and if anyone b/t Smyrna and Columbia wants any the next time they're up, let me know. Countrypunk - no hinges, just some flimsy lid frames, BUT I will tell you that you slap some lattice work around them, and they make nice little trash can holders for outside...
