Hey folks! I'm BAAAAACCCCKK!

I may not have my chickens anymore... but I sure do intend to live vicariously through all of you. My home made incubator does appear to have made it through the fire unharmed, but I was told it got as high as 1200 degrees in my house so I guess I'll get it out, try to wash the durn stink of the fire off it and plug it in and see what happens. I think if it's messed up I'm going for the gusto this winter and making that big cabinet bator I want, I'm pretty jealous of Chad!

I really have to say that all our friends and family just picked us right up and put us right back on our feet. One Saturday we lost everything we had except each other, and the very next Saturday we were sitting in a fully furnished rental home with most of our "naggy" bills paid, all had clothes, and that fire has given me more than it could ever take away from me!

It is weird being in city limits with bunches of neighbors, and not being able to smoke in my own house, but I guess we'll get adjusted and I think we'll come out better than we were to start with.

Hope you all are well.

SO glad you are doing well! It is an adjustment, but way better than you thought it would be the week before..... I have been thinking of you. I hope that bator works. But truthfully, you will need to build that bigger bator.... cuz you are going to be over run with eggs to hatch when you are ready.

I am pretty sure I don't have ANYTHING you want.... DO I? You name it and if it is laying and fertile it is yours.....
