I would never use it for important research. But it is a great as a starting point, or for answering idle curiosity.

Yeah I never used Wiki when I wrote research papers as a source, but they need to prove their info came from a reliable source so often I would go to their sources for more detailed info, otherwise it was all NCBI day in and day out.
