The Missing Heir RP

***

Nicholas dismounted out side of a small stone built home nestled in the ferns, he helped Naveen down from white steed and hitched the horse beside the house. They had ridden through the day and had only stop for brakes when Naveen demanded that they do so, which was about every hour. The forest darkened as the sun dipped below the horizon and the night animals began to emerge, as the two entered the house. Naveen collapsed onto the one bed and groaned, then said, "I hurt everywhere, we I'll not be ridding that much in one day again!"

Col chuckled as he built up the wood in the hearth and with his back to her, he reached into one of the many inner pockets of his tunic, pulling out a small red stone and placing it in the hearth under the wood. Making sure Naveen could not see around him, he gentle blew on the stone and whispered something in a strange tongue, fire bloomed from the stone and quickly spread to the wood. Nicholas stood and move to the bed, a fire now crackling, filing the room with warmth. "See? I told thee I would not let us freeze, my Lady." Col said with a winning smile as he laid beside Naveen, who promptly fell asleep.

((Lol, Prince charming on a white horse:p))

Karok frowned at Aeron. "Is it you think he takes her for his own? Surely she would not run from home with a man she is not betrothed to." The idea surprised Karok. This would be unacceptable to his people. Pondering for just a moment, he took another drink from his cup. "Shall we visit the home of this Nicholas?".

((He's a charmer, alright! Haha!))

"The princess, methinks, would not be that foolish." Aeron said, "If Nicholas is as close to her as I've heard, he might have the clue to finding her. Mayhap, she left of her own volition, with the castle being so well guarded, I doubt an enemy could have got in and got out with her. What say you?" He frowned, then downed the last of his third beaker.

"I say we speak with the man when the morning comes. I also think it you should take to your bed." A small smile was on Karoks face, Aeron was humorously tipsy. Although the Zurian liked to drink, he rarely became drunk. His father had always preached against such behavior. Finishing his drink, Karok stood and motioned for the barmaid so that she may direct them to empty beds.

"I can't agree more! With both thy statements, I mean." Aeron replied with a grin, then stood as the barmaid came to speak with Karok. As she reached them, Aeron spoke up quickly, and slightly slurred, "Dost thee know, if there art any... Mages, in this town?" The room was moving a bit too much for his liking, but he tried to ignored it, squinting slightly.

The barmaid smiled, then said, "There's one just outside of town, on the north road."

(Mages?)

The question Aeron asked confused Karok. What is it we need a mage for? Without asking he decided he'd wait and see. Gently, Karok took Aerons arm and tugged the man along after the barmaid. I pray your drunkenness does not make us late for our task next morning...
