The Missing Heir RP

Kira nodded and smiled. She stood and went out to the forest to shift into her panther so she could use it's senses to keep watch for her shift. She circled the camp then chose a tree to climb up to watch over them as they slept.
(Unless y'all have something planned, we can skip to morning)

(I have one thing, then we can skip! Can you wake Lena to start her watch?)

Aeron fall asleep shortly after Kira left, but Lena stayed awake for longer, watching as the fire began to show the symbol Karok had made it, then, slipped into sleep.

(Ok :) )
It was after midnight when Kira came back to camp, shifting to her normal form and moving to Lena. "Lena" She called softly as she approached the elven woman then knelt beside her to touch her shoulder. "Time for your watch"

Lena awake the moment Kira touched her shoulder, "Splendid," she said quietly, smiling and rubbing the sleep from her eyes. Once Kira looked asleep, Lena waited a few more minutes, then hastily pulled seven drawstring pouches from her satchel. They were all very small, and each were a different color; green, blue, red, silver, gold, white, and black.

Lena moved closer to the fire, looked around at the others, then threw a pinch of powder from the silver pouch into the fire. The smoke turned a glowing silver, floating up into the air. It lasted a few minutes, looking like a silver waterfall, flowing backwards, then turned back to normal smoke.

Col sat on the cool ground, close to the fire, looking out over the forest stretching out below. Then he caught site of the silvery stream of smoke in the distance, and smirked, "Well done, Lena... well done in deed..." He whispered.

Kira watched the silver smoke quietly, not moving. She kept to her figment of sleep as she waited to see if the elf would do anything else. Curiosity certainly did lead to some interesting discoveries. But she didn't know what it meant for them or their mission yet.

"Where is Lyren!?" Karok yelled desperately to his battle mate. Before the Zurian could answer, an arrow pierced his heart and he fell dead before Karok. Lyren was a high elf, an informant for the Zurians. The elf was Karoks charge, and in the midst of battle, he had lost sight of the elf. Karok ducked down into a trench and crawled though mud and blood searching for any signs to Lyrens whereabouts. It was then he saw an old friend being overwhelmed in combat. Standing to rush to his aid, Karok heated a familiar voice behind him. Karok turned just in time to see Lyren sink his sword into Karoks body.

Snapping his eyes open, Karok gasped in shock when he saw the gleam of Lenas eyes. Being frustrated at being startled, Karok glared at her. "And what is it you are doing at this hour?" He asked gruffly.

Kira shifted and turned to her side, pulling her legs closer. She had nearly fallen into real sleep when he spoke and brought her back to awareness. Settling into place she pretended to fall back into sleep, listening for Lena's response and wondering if the elf would say anything about the silver smoke.

"I am keeping watch," Lena replied slowly, "and it is about time for Malcom to take his trade." She started moving towards Aeron, then stopped, and looked back at Karok, "Why art ye so suspicious of me? Karok..."

"Any who hath half a mind would know of the coniving nature of you're kind. Surely you do." Karok stated bluntly. He had a pang of grief in him. It was not the way of his people nor his gods to judge one by another. Perhaps he never gave Lena a proper chance. "You do know of the great war, and the lives lost surely.." he began carefully. "Do you know the events of the battle of Blackmoon City?"

"I doth know of the war, and my kinds part in it, their brutality... And I am sorry for that, the Zurians are a great race..." She said with a note of sadness in her voice, though of corse, she was lying. "But I dost not know of the battles fought, my family travailed north during the war, to try and escape the blood shed... Wilt thee tell me what happened?" Lena asked, looking at the man with innocence in her eyes.

Aeron rolled over in his sleep, turning towards the fire, and curling up into a ball. Knees pulled up against to him chest, he made a small sighing noise, which made him seem even less threatening then he usually was. Which he wasn't very to begin with, unless he was mad...
