Emily stared up at the ceiling. There was a damp spot where water leaked in. Drip, drip, drip. "I need to get that fixed," She said aloud but didn't move. Her mind wandered to this morning's events. The monsters are trying to break in. Those words from one of the people outside echoed in her mind. Her heart began to pound. If they got in here, she knew that she was good as dead. Sitting up, Emily began to pull the little things she had to create a barricade in front of the door. She smiled with satisfaction, but then that satisfaction deflated like a balloon when she saw the meager pile of pillows, blankets, stuffed animals, and basically nothing that could keep a rabbit from getting in.
