Pullets for the Mrs Birthday?

Kinda… she wanted some but would never tell you she wanted chickens for her birthday.

I thought maybe they were little New Hampshire Reds. You're a brave man raising chicks in the summer. I hate summer babies.

The only bad part for me is the heat. I know they probably need it at night but daytime is iffy. I swapped the red bulb for a ceramic aquarium thingy. It’s only 100w compared to the 250w red bulb.

I hate trying to keep them in water and they take absolutely forever to feather in because they are warm enough without them. Plus snakes.

Man I hear you on the feathering...it's been 40+ years and my dang feathers just won't grow in!

My issues are those above and night time is too cold still. I finally gave up and just threw my last 7 girls out last night. Hoping they did okay
