Just wabted to show off some of my birds from this year. 5 leghorns, 2 BCs and a Wyandotte

First up is Ratchet, a silver pullet

Then Hamelton, Eliza and Angelica, the Isabellas

Then Mrs. Reynolds the rose comb brown

Then the BLG Wyandotte (just wanted to show her off, she's a favorite)

and then the two Barred Bantam Cochin boys I'm trying to move along still

Also wanted to show off Jezabelle, who is 1/2 Spitzhauben, 1/4 Standard Ameraucana and 1/4 Bantam Cochin. Out of 5 eggs, she was the only girl.

Is there a specific type of pattern she has on her neck? It's almost like double lacing to me, but genetically that makes no sense.

How you guys fairing in your area with mosquitos?
My area is out of control.
Winds are coming from the Everglades towards the east and their bringing skeeters with them.

Not bad at all here. Honestly I haven't noticed ANY.
Skeeters don't like my blood. Or maybe it's because I smoke like a chimney.

I've got about thr normal amount here. Go out and kill about 3 an hour. Few years ago we had SWARMS of them. I'd never seen anything like it.

I haven't noticed many mosquitoes this year. Maybe there were more earlier in the year, but there aren't many now. I slapped one and fed it to Baba earlier, but that's about it.
Something does like biting my ankles, though. Not sure if it's mosquitoes or gnats, though.
