I figured I better start working on winning them over and befriending them like my other birds 
Or maybe, better yet, why do I have to be such a wimp!? I had NO problems ripping the heads off quail, even healthy ones, or sick chickens, but yet these ones, who I raised and named, I’m really really struggling with even though I know they have to go 
Also, that said, when I DID give the Bigs their portion, everybody came running over to see me, including the boys, and said boys were cooing at me and talking back to me and they even tidbitted for the girls and it was all so cute... and just... EFF!! Why do they have to make it so hard!?

I can definitely do that and I was actually planning on making my old girls a little “retirement coop”anyway haha there’s only 3 of them left so it wouldn’t be hard.

Thank you! I wish they didn’t have to go but we can’t stand the crowing anymore and the old girls are so depressed so I know it’s for the best but then I’m like “well maybe I’ll just put them in a bachelor coop!” But that wouldn’t solve the crowing. It’s just so hard because they’re so handsome and they’re such sweet, nice boys. And they’re Jack’s kids too and with Jack gone now it’s just even sadder and harder
I’m definitely going to! I think I do still need to get rid of at least some boys though because 3 is too many for my flock I think but it’s hard

And I did think of that especially since they’re really healthy and have shown no symptoms but I’m not sure it’d be worth it since I’m sure it’d be way harder to find them homes that way and I’m sure whoever ends up with them would just eat them anyway.
I’d rather just do it myself and know they were killed humanely, you know? Just gotta work myself up to it! Maybe tomorrow.
