The Moonshiner's Leghorn Thread Peanut Gallery

No, it might even be easier at times (though they are sold for a lot less than they are worth) We have a large Hmong community here and they buy live heritage chickens for meat. (Especially Silkies.)
Ah, okay. For decent quality ones (bantams mainly) do you think you'd be able to get back like "chick price?" That's my main hope with males that are decent looking at least

You changed your name!

Sometimes all the best birds get sold right within the first 30 minutes anyways, though with a raffle sometimes its longer.
Yes I did! 😁

And hmmm true! Good point! I guess it usually works better at like craft fairs or markets and things with tons to sell 😂

Edit: Moved from the other page,
I meant to post here originally.

I finally found some buff leghorns! :yesss: I went to a breeder to pick up some other breeds and happened to see them in the pen. I was completely amazed at the quality! Unfortunately he only had 2 chicks available (of course I got them) but I'm in line for more!

So now I have Isabella mottled and buffs, should have the Millie and porcelain project up and going next year! :celebrate
