Normal cuckoo as in.... black cuckoo? Or normal cuckoo as in double barred? So like a double barred male and single barred female? How would I get normal Cuckoo? In both genders?
@WallyG74 does this seem correct to you?Normal cuckoo as in.... black cuckoo? Or normal cuckoo as in double barred? So like a double barred male and single barred female?
Your hens are solid, yes?
You can't with a chocolate male. Breed an F1 cockerel back to the black hens. Half of the resulting females will be chocolate and half will be black. Half will be barred, and half will not be. Keep the black barred females.
Half of the boys will be single gene barred and half will not be barred at all. Half will carry chocolate (unseen), and half will not. You will have to test breed them to see who carries it.
Keep the barred males that do not carry chocolate. Breed those males to their barred sisters. You will get all black. Half the females will be barred, half won't. Keep the barred. (Keep others too lol).. Half the boys will be single gene barred, with the other half being double gene barred. The double will be lighter and easier to see. Keep the double barred males and breed to the barred females.

You’re joking, right? I understand Mare has every right to play just like the rest of us. I mean, at no point while you were thinking about tagging me, did you ever believe I could give a yes or no answer to this question? Right? That only leaves me with the knowledge that I know even less than I thought I did before I read your post. That’s a good one, though. You got me good!@WallyG74 does this seem correct to you?
