We learmed the hard way that birds wont avoid a pool when i had a sumatra drown a few years ago.

I had a Silkie drown in September

I do. I swaddle them if they won't stand to be weighed, and I swaddle them when I put them down.

Then it's impossible for us to tell you if that's what they were.

Leghorns have white ear lobes, yellow skin, and are built slim. Hens combs typically flop over. You'll have to judge from memory.

I would never be okay with my chickens running around a pool...

Me neither. I would never let my chickens near a pool or any tub big enough for them to possibly drown in. Chickens. Can't. Swim. People should stop putting them in danger because they think it's "cute".
Also, I just remembered. That guy almost lost a third chicken in his pool. He only just managed to save him in time. Very irresponsible if you ask me.
