Would putting some of those wooden fake eggs in with them help the incubator to appear full so that the real ones would stay warmer in a 12 egg incubator? If they were from me it'd have to be 2 or 3 at a time.

The girl I got mine from had a couple trios for sale. She asks $100 per adult bird.I'm done hatching for this year... unless I can get my hands on some of those Buff Leghorns. Now that would change my mind.

I guess that they really are gold nuggets then? The girl I got mine from had a couple trios for sale. She asks $100 per adult bird.

I have had small batches in my NR 360 and the small batch didnt seem to affect the temp.Would putting some of those wooden fake eggs in with them help the incubator to appear full so that the real ones would stay warmer in a 12 egg incubator?

Chickens are only worth what someone is willing to pay. I am embarrassed to say we have spent more on chickens before. Much, much more.I guess that they really are gold nuggets then?
Those are pretty good incubators, up there in quality with the MaticoopX I believe. I think you will be fine with small batches. Just monitor the temp with a Govee or similar thermometer.Ok, mine is a keybonnex.
