And ideally I would have set eggs again last night but for the slow hatch.... I have about 2-3 doz ready to go in

Ya I used to set every week then I bumped it to every 6 days. I tried 5 but that was pushing it too much.
With every 6 it's been about 3 days with peeping and 3 without. Guess I can live with that. Or at least for a while.

I don't hug trees. I chainsaw them down, and burn them.

Look I finally scored. 4x4x8 3/4" plywood with 2x4 frame inside.

Found two on CL free section. Broke the other one down and threw the pieces inside this one.
Got home and my boy says he's laying claim to the intact one so it can be his "hideout". I just have to put a roof on it. Make a working door and a window. Jesus.
Anyways scored at least one crate.

Ended up with 3 hatching overnight/this morning and 6 more after that. I think that'll be it. I'll check when I take the last ones out.
