This is a sibling cockerel. Not the same pattern but not exactly normal barring either. Guess I should set up a pen and see what they produce.

They're just black not blue but idk what's going on exactly.
The hen is blue with the lacing a good blue is supposed to have so I think that has something to do with it.

Huh if you didn’t point out I wouldn’t have noticed.
Interesting. Yeah, since barring causes gaps in pigment and pg and ml cause pigment to gravitate towards the edges feather, I wonder if that would cause edging in barred birds.

They definitely aren’t blue cuckoo. Usually blue and cuckoo together cause the barring to become barely visible. I don’t know why blue does that to it but it happens.

I'm not Amer, but that bird is gorgeous! I really like the pattern. You definitely have to put her and her brother together.
