Okay I'll try to get some comparison pictures of what I'm seeing. My brown leghorn is a rich dark shiny color, and the pheonixes are the same color variety, but they're lighter, duster and more faded looking.Idk I only have Leghorns.
I do remember once I had leghorn and welsummer chicks. The leghorn chicks did appear darker.
Not sure when adults because I didn't keep those welsummer long but ya they may have been a little lighter color.

SameThat is something I RELIGIOUSLY believe. Especially on white Leghorn roos, they look emo but with no black![]()
