The Moonshiner's Leghorns

Hey Moony, are brown leghorns usually darker than other gold duckwing breeds?
Idk I only have Leghorns.
I do remember once I had leghorn and welsummer chicks. The leghorn chicks did appear darker.
Not sure when adults because I didn't keep those welsummer long but ya they may have been a little lighter color.

Okay I'll try to get some comparison pictures of what I'm seeing. My brown leghorn is a rich dark shiny color, and the pheonixes are the same color variety, but they're lighter, duster and more faded looking.

Amazing how different they look in 1 day ;) 20230124_124914.jpg 20230124_124901.jpg

I checked it out. Seems you didn’t get the incorrect answers you were hoping for.
Oh I wasnt hoping/expecting anything of any sort of sense to come from the post....

There is a reason I stay far far away from that part of the site

That is something I RELIGIOUSLY believe. Especially on white Leghorn roos, they look emo but with no black:th
Same

Moony, do you select against the “big floppy” type of male?

Yes.
I kept and used the two last year because the females where lacking in comb size and the flop. Thought they may improve the females.
