Ya it's all mostly so I can be in the know.
I sure don't do spreadsheets or anything and I seldom write things down.
I can only keep so much in my head and numbers don't do well so it for my records and the pics I sometimes go back to to check something.
Maybe to see how many of what I hatched or if later I see a unique juvenile sometimes I can track it down as a chick.

Wow 420 chicks for the year is a lot! We used to hatch that many every year, but have scaled way back, especially on the Games. We hatch probably 2-3 hundred I would estimate each year now, and I thought that was a lot! Congratulations on such a productive year!

Wow it's chilly out today. Yesterday was too but huge thunderstorms Saturday night so I blamed that. Looks like fall here now. Our low to mid 60s overnights and highs up to 85° have now turned to mid 40s overnights and mid to upper 60s for highs.
Gonna be work, work, work here for a bit. Gotta eliminate some birds, no fun. Start figuring where everyone is gonna be wintering and lots of moving around.
Gotta tighten up a couple pens then I guess I'll start with adult roosters.
Sucks the deeper I go I'm afraid the more obvious it'll be on how many need to go.
Digging for long sleeve shirts and waiting on coffee atm though.

Yeah. I need to select my cockerels for pprocessing too. I heard crowing this morning on my baby monitor. They're doing a fair job of it too.
