The Moonshiner's Leghorns

Anyone go black Friday shopping? Get anything good?
I did not go. Little chilly yesterday morning and I just wasn't feeling like getting up let alone going anywhere.
Might of should of went to the local farm store. They had lots of tools on sale. All their Dewalt stuff and some of it was 40% 50% off.
Lots of other usable stuff and even layer pellets. All that stuff was so much off in the form of a mail in rebate for a instore credit. I wouldn't of minded the instore credit but hate the mail in rebate hassle.
Layer pellets were on sale for $8 something plus $5 rebate so final cost was $3.49 for 40lbs. Limit 10, I should of went and got 10.
Had a Dewalt battery powered chainsaw for $119 wasn't a fan but I just happened to borrow a ryobi one from work. Had various small trees around I wanted cut down and several large limbs that have fallen in the last year. Too big to move and two on my fence line. I used the borrowed 40volt one yesterday afternoon. Omg that thing kind of rocked. Easy peasy and it easily cut some 10" or 12" stuff. Battery only lasted probably 30 or 40 minutes of actual cutting but I was impressed. Wishing I would of tried it before that Dewalt one was $210 off regular price.
So ya nothing for me but I am on a desperate hunt for some actual warm gloves in frigid weather.
Someone recommended some carhartt ones but the reviews weren't good about them truly being very warm. Finding some will be my goal tonight or tomorrow.
Anyone have any that are truly excellent? Keeping my fingers warm this year would really be nice.

I use waterproof thermal lined work gloves (brand I have atm is MaxiDry Zero, not sure if those would be available in the US but they're probably much the same as any other brand with similar ratings), with thin possum-merino wool blend knitted fingerless gloves inside those on especially cold days. Possum is some of the warmest wool there is and two layers means my hands don't freeze if I have to quickly take the outer gloves off for a minute to do something fiddly.

I did all my black friday shopping online. Except for a quick trip to Ulta for perfume. It was elbow to elbow and we decided to cut our Black Friday trip short. lol

My husband has some waterproof gloves that are a bazillion years old he uses to get ice out of watererers in the winter but he also has some carhart ones he uses too.

I didn’t go shopping, not even online. Was just lazy all day, did a little work in the afternoon. Just didn’t feel that I needed anything, saving is a priority now and maybe for several years lol. I’ll be curious to see if Americans spend as much on the holidays as normal. Times are tough everywhere but you know how we love to buy stuff lol.

I didn't know many places outside of Amazon did Black Friday online sales. I thought that's what cyber Mondays were for. Guess it's best I didn't realize. I was in a laying around mood so it would have been click click buy, repeat, repeat, repeat.

Seems they are available here. Idk about any possum wool ones though. I'll look later but I'm not against wearing a pair in a pair. That's what I mostly did the last two years but it wasn't enough.
Thanks for the reply. Those type wasn't even anything I had been looking at. I'll check them out more later today.

Today is lockdown!

On those gloves, wouldn't those places that sell those snow mobiles have them? Those people would need their hands to stay warm.
