The most dangerous cake recipe in the world!

we have been good now ya go and open it up and makes think about it again!

To everyone who is diabetic or low carb - you can have this yummy recipe with a few alterations; I make it all the time.

1 egg
1 tab oil
1 squirt of Sugar Substitute such as Splenda
1 teas vanilla essence
1 tab cocoa powder
1/2 teas baking powder
3 tabs flaxseed meal

Mix it all up and place into a mug. Add a square of sugar free chocolate. Microwave 45 seconds to 1 minute (depending on how powerful your microwave is).

Nice cut in half with cream cheese and a strawberry added to each piece - it tastes very much like a wholemeal or bran chocolate cake.

Approx 4 carbs for entire cake, without the cream cheese and strawberry (but they don't add many carbs). Good for your daily fibre intake too.

I saw this the first time around......but resisted. Lately I have had cake on the brain - meaning, I've been craving good, homemade cake. So making this would be better for me than making a whole cake that would sit around for days until I ate it all.....right? I mean.......this cake in a mug "should" satisfy my cake craving and prevent me from making a large cake....right?

So, I'm going to give in, go to the dark side, and make this tonight or this weekend. It's just to satisfy my cake craving, you understand.

Mave, thank you so much for your version of this cake. Maybe now I can enjoy it with going on a big old guilt trip! Planning to try it tonight, thanks again.

Define sponge like? It will never have the same texture as normal cake, but it can come close.

If you cook it too long, it will be really chewy/dense. You can always try to cut down on your cooking time some!
