The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop- A Role Play

Cam stepped into the hall while Rylie continued to throw himself into the melee of the advancing mosquitoes, tearing heads off and stuff.

“Yup” Ellie shouted shooting the last of them. Fred covered his head his eyes wide with fear
“Alright lets keep going” Take yelled from being half-deaf. He could hardly hear himself speak, damn those mosquitos. He glanced at the group before going deeper into the hall and was met by another sole stairway. It wasn’t completely dark this time, so his night vision wasn’t necessary. There was small windows that let in light that was streaming through the clouds.
We’re really high up..

“Is anyone else having trouble breathing?” Cam gasped. Every couple steps made her need to gasp for air, just like on her trip to the Rockies. She looked out the window, and immediately regretted it. It’s like I’m in a plane but without the cabin pressure, or the walls.
She stumbled weakly back and scratched her huge mosquito bite, which was a big mistake. Ouch that really hurts.
Anyways, that was a lot of stairs, but not
that many stairs. Not enough to go from the ground to the sky.
Cam stumbled into a room, which seemed to be like a large walk in closet.

Blair shoved the torch back into where it has been, quickly following the others. Her ears were ringing and she could barely hear anything that anyone was saying. Not to mention the farther they climbed the stairs, the harder it became to breathe.
Barely making it to the top of the stairs, she paused for a moment, panting and knocking the side of her head with the palm of her hand. Her heart was racing, due to the fact that not only did she feel like she was suffocating, but that while she could hear the others, the noise of the bugs had significantly decreased her hearing.
Is this what it feels like to go deaf?
She leaned against the wall, burying her face in her hands as she waited for the others to reach them. It was too stressful for her to go from being able to hear every little thing to hearing only muffled voices.
Just breathe... Oh wait, can't do that due to the lack of air. URGH! It's gonna be fine... It's just from the mosquitoes, you aren't going to lose your hearing. It'll go back to normal soon....

Clary was disgusted by the size and amount of all the mosquitoes. She followed the others’ lead and grabbed a torch, waving off the mosquitoes that dared get too close to her. She grimaced, swatting off a mosquito that landed on her arm. She could see a few of the people panicking, probably from the noise and lack of oxygen. Even though she didn’t have super hearing, the buzzing was still extremely annoying.
She trudged up the stairs, panting. her thighs burned, and she could practically feel herself burning away body fat. She groaned as she reached the top of the stairs. “How many more- is that an elevator?” She asked, instantly perking up.

“Hmm?” Cam asked. She looked up from the paneled walls. “Looks like it. But I don’t see how, considering that this is like medieval or something.”
Rylie stepped in and sniffed the floor curiously.

Take had tossed his torch to the ground before advancing up the stairs, and its neon fire went out instantly.
Once he reached the very top, his head and chest felt heavy, like there was a lack of oxygen. Not being able to breathe? And barely even able to hear? This is such a pain.
He knew the others were talking, but it just sounded like he was trying to hear them from underwater. It just left him and his thoughts to be fully heard. He looked over at Clary who was visibly saying something, but it was probably a comment about the mosquitoes?
Kinda wish I was able to read lips..
He then noticed Blair, who was leaned up against the wall and it looked like she was suffering the same thing as well. He came over to her and tapped her on the arm, and once he got her attention, he mouthed a ‘It will be okay’ carefully and ending it with an ‘ok’ sign with his hand and a slight smile.

Take turned and joined Rylie and Cam in the closet-like room. He hopped a few times, causing the room to bob with his movements.
This is like an elevator car thing.

Blair was unaware that anyone was approaching her, and when she felt someone touch her, the reaction her body had was instantaneous. Her head shot up, missing the wall by less then an inch as she flinched, her body tensing. When it became apparent it was merely Take, she relaxed, her heart racing from the adrenaline.
She smiled at his silent words, gratitude filling her.
At least someone understands.

Blair cautiously approached the group that was hovering near what appeared to be a very old-fashioned elevator. She raised a quickly brow, leaning her weight on her good leg as she watched the group, trying to understand what they were saying, and failing. She couldn't hear them, and she wasn't facing any of them, so she couldn't even read their lips. Well this sucks. Big time.

“Might as well try it,” Clary said, shrugging. She tossed the torch down the stairs with no regard of fire safety. She entered the elevator, looking around. As Take entered and started jumping, she grabbed his burning arm, shooting an irritated glare up at him. “Stop it, you could bring this down.” She said, letting go of his arm and shoving her hands into her pockets.

Once Clary grabbed his arm, Take immediately stopped, frowning down at her in response to the look she gave him. “I CAN’T hear you guys RIGHT NOW” he stated, unsure of how to manage the volume of his voice. “..and BLAIR can’t EITHER” he added, waving his hands over his ears and pointing at Blair who was standing away from the elevator.

Clary stepped away from him, grimacing at his loud voice. “Please, speak louder,” she muttered sarcastically, knowing he wouldn’t be able to hear her. She raised her voice. “I said don’t jump!” She repeated.
