“Why can’t they hear us?” Ellie looked alarmed.

“Geez man,” Cam said, twisting her finger in her ear.Once Clary grabbed his arm, Take immediately stopped, frowning down at her in response to the look she gave him. “I CAN’T hear you guys RIGHT NOW” he stated, unsure of how to manage the volume of his voice. “..and BLAIR can’t EITHER” he added, waving his hands over his ears and pointing at Blair who was standing away from the elevator.
Clary stepped away from him, grimacing at his loud voice. “Please, speak louder,” she muttered sarcastically, knowing he wouldn’t be able to hear her. She raised her voice. “I said don’t jump!” She repeated.

Take raised an eyebrow at what everyone was mouthing, confusion in his face.“Geez man,” Cam said, twisting her finger in her ear.
Rylie seemed unfazed. Having flexible ears was helpful.
“Everybody get in here!” Kyle yelled.
Blair had been busy trying to coax Kit closer to her, the collie on the ground, appearing to be whimpering and pawing at a bee sting on her muzzle. Finally, Blair had just stepped forward, grabbing her by the collar gently and coaxing her back.Take raised an eyebrow at what everyone was mouthing, confusion in his face.
Since it looked like everyone else was getting inside he got out and walked Blair into the elevator by grabbing both of her shoulders from behind and carefully guiding her. His hands rested at his sides once they were both in.

She hadn't realized the others were leaving until Take pulled her into the elevator with him. She scowled, flattening herself against the elevator wall beside him. This really sucks. Wait...what if we get stuck in the elevator? Oh no...
"Guys?" While she couldn't exactly hear how loud her voice was, she knew she wasn't yelling, for no one flinched or plugged their ears. "What if the elevator gets stuck? Then what?"
I wonder if this thing still works..Cluchunkachunkachunka!
The elevator rumbled into motion automatically. Is this enchanted? If it’s going somewhere, will it take us to the right place?
Cam looked around at the alarmed faces and the wide open threshold that didn’t seem to have a door. A whirring sound accompanied them as they went up, slowly. At least we’re going in the right direction.
The open wall revealed a complete lack of wiring like you might expect, but every ten feet they passed a hall that you could walk through.
Cam had only been on such a tall elevator once, in Cinncinnati.
“I could really go for some nice elevator music right now.
"We should jump?" Charlie asked. He hadn't been paying attention and jumped up, smirking at Clary's face. The elevator shook. "Woah!"Clary stepped away from him, grimacing at his loud voice. “Please, speak louder,” she muttered sarcastically, knowing he wouldn’t be able to hear her. Blair was startled as the elevator vibrated beneath her feet, faintly hearing a rumbling sound. She watched quietly as they went up, every so often seeing a new room or floor pass by the open wall. But there's no wiring. How does it work? Maybe it's enchanted...I wonder if this thing still works..
Takes eyes widened from the sudden movement.
Woah cool
As the elevator lifted them through the shaft and left them to watch the passing floors. Slowly, his ears started to pop and some hearing returned. He could start to hear the whirring of the elevator. He tugged at his ears, in attempt to pop them more.
He grinned down at Blair who was beside him and pointed at his ear, ‘hearing’ he mouthed.

“Yeah, seriously man,” Kyle said, gripping Rylie’s fur. The jumping seriously unbalanced him.Clary took that opportunity to drum elevator music on her thighs.
Clary looked at Charlie. Hidden behind her look of annoyance, there was a hint of fear. “No. No jumping, you guys will bring this thing down. We might already be past the weight limit.” She said.
