The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop- A Role Play

"You saw yourself?" Blair tilted her head, both bemused and intrigued. "Yeah...like, it feels like the person really is there, you can see them and hear them and even smell them, but...then they're just..." She wrapped her arms around herself, meeting his gaze. "Gone. Like...like they were never there. But I knew she was there! Because it was her, older her, oh goodness...she looks almost exactly the same and how can you—"
She broke off, tearing her gaze from his sharply. "I don't understand," she murmured, her voice cracking slightly. "What this forest is doing. It's like...it's like it's testing us or something."
“Yeah.. past me was.. something” he nodded, remembering how bothered and demented he used to be. How he used to attack other kids when they called him names. How isolated he was from the rest of them. No one would want to be friendly towards him because of what he did.

Take sighed “I think the forest is making us face our past. Like whoever you were talking about. She’s your past.” he looked away, rubbing his shoulder.

There was a beautiful woman with standing in the forest. All the trees around her were lush.
Odd, I thought that clearing was the only place without any locusts. Cam thought. She was immediately jealous of the pale beauty standing in a beam of moonlight.
“This is how this place had once looked.” A clear Scottish accent rang through the odd silence. Even in the clearing, some of the locusts could still be heard. The woman turned her head, a waterfall of mint-green hair. Her glowing skin was almost greenish as well. She was clothed in leafy garments and apple blossoms, and when you looked at her, you thought of spring.
“At one time, everyone was more powerful, and our outward appearance reflected what we could do. Now only a chosen few still have this...
“I twisted the forest to the way it is today. I was selfish.” The woman looked sorrowful. “I could have told them no. But I wanted to spare myself.” She must be the one, who did all this with the forest, Cam realized. I knew whoever did this had to be good! Cam felt victorious. Although, anyone who can do that... make a dark twisted forest... Maybe outward appearances aren’t everything...
“But I also made this circle of sanctuary and reflection for those who would have to come here and right the wrongs I in part caused. Not without the help of my friends, of course.” The woman’s smile broke through her somber face like a ray of sunshine after an April shower.
Then the lush forest was gone, and she was back in the clearing, stumbling into a blue-eyed wolf in a daze. “Haddie? I just had the weirdest dream.”
Take hesitated a bit before responding. He lowered his gaze to the ground.

She had an experience too.

His voice cracked as he began, “Yeah. I saw myself in there. But it was me when I was a kid.” his tone was soft, “It was weird.. because it felt like that little me was actually there” he added, locking eyes with Blair.

“Yeah.. past me was.. something” he nodded, remembering how bothered and demented he used to be. How he used to attack other kids when they called him names. How isolated he was from the rest of them. No one would want to be friendly towards him because of what he did.

Take sighed “I think the forest is making us face our past. Like whoever you were talking about. She’s your past.” he looked away, rubbing his shoulder.
“Wait!” Kyle interjected. “I know of this place!” He wrung his hands together. “I was going to avoid it because it was out of the way and because it could reveal some potentially disturbing things. But it looks like we gravitated right towards it. But that doesn’t mean it’s dangerous... or safe. Laurel didn’t find much about it, and he couldn’t translate all the Celtic.”

Blair looked at the trees, watching them closely. They only seemed to glow, no longer lashing out at her or the others. She couldn't let the dream or whatever had happened bother her, anymore, she had to find her way back to Kyle and the rest. She turned back to Take, ready to say something, when she realized he looked rather anxious.
When she decided to speak to him, she heard Ellie's voice.

A burning wave of fiery jealousy crashed over Blair at Cam's words, with the amount of harshness she had never felt before. She had never met anyone, that she knew of, with Lycanthropy.
"Well, lucky you, Cam. Unfortunately, for people like me it's a little harder to find other's with my power, as they're too scared to actually tell anyone who they are, for obvious reason. So no, Ellie," her tone was a lot harsher and more bitter then she intended, and she took a step back. It's these trees...they're driving me mad.
With a jolt of shock at her realization, she dropped her gaze to the ground. Her last response was a little bit softer, gentler: "No. I've never met anyone with my...with my powers."
“Well join the club” Ellie snapped “back where I lived I was known as a freak someone not worthy of even being looked at let alone talked too. My Mum treated me as a bitter disappointment the only one treated me right and believed in me was my father. Then he died.” Ellie froze “I-I’m sorry that was too much. And a lot more nastier than it needed to be.” Ellie frowned “Come to think of it I just told you everything about my past....” She turned to the glowing trees “I think they’re having some effect on me” Ellie said thoughtfully

Blair looked at him dead-on, clearly not convinced. She sighed anyway, looking away towards where Haddie and Cam had vanished. "Alright, then." She muttered.
After a few moments of silence, her eyes flickered back to him. "I...was wondering. Did you have any...odd encounters in the forest before I found you guys? I know it's...weird to ask, but I was...sort of trapped in the trees, and saw something...odd. I was wondering if someone else saw anything as well." Her voice was most nonchalant, but it threatened to break on her a few times, and she couldn't quite look him in the eye.
“Well um I was trapped in a field and I saw my Dad! The one who’s been dead for almost 2 years now. So yeah and I had the oddest thing. M-Me And Take went into a glade and the opening vanished at the same time he did” Ellie said paling as she spoke. By the time she’d finished she was as pale as a ghost

(Haddie's a human rn)
Haddie looked up from her knees, trying to stop heaving. She scrambled to her feet, trying to steady herself, trying to hide the signs of tears, of weakness.
"A dream? You too?" She said, wincing at how hoarse and fragile she sounded.

(Oh yeah)
The frizzy-haired redhead seemed on the verge of crying. “Hey, you ok?” Cam asked. “Did you have a nightmare?” She mentally facepalmed at how stupid she sounded. “Well actually I guess it was a vision of a green lady... oh never mind.” Comforting someone isn’t about sharing everything about yourself. It’s about opening up to others.

(And yeh, Will is drinking his coffee while everyone else does all the work. If you were wondering.)

Laurel sipped his coffee. He felt like his first emotion in like a decade. Concern. He didn’t like it.
Emotions were gross.
He glanced at the stone, which had multiple blue flashing specks, and the map.
That couldn’t be right, they were way off course. If the dumb rock was right, they were in The Glade of Reflection.
And there were several stragglers. Either Kyle was leading them way off course or something had gone awfully wrong.
The former seemed likely, but so did the latter. Also, this scattering was concerning. He had to do something about it. He pressed the place on the stone where many of the dots were closer together.
There. Now they could regroup.
( :tongue Fine! You happy now? Everyone has now been teleported into the glade. @HeavensHens88 @RoostersAreAwesome @8SpiceyChickens @Cluckcluck1215 @whoever else is straggling.)

Haddie shook her head. "I'll be fine. I is-this forest keeps getting more and more evil. Did the green lady say anything about the forest? Maybe-" Haddie was cut off as the world dissolved around her. "Not again!"

“Whoah!” Cam was back in the center of the grove with everyone around her. There was that pale redhead and the anthropomorphic fox! “How did you get here? I mean... how did I get here?”
