The Natural Chicken Keeping thread - OTs welcome!

We've had a ton of rain recently, so there are a lot of standing puddles, but the rest of the week looks better. The meaties are doing so well free ranging. They are four weeks old now, and almost all of them are feathered out completely. There are a few boys that are half naked though.

I haven't increased their food at all. Still twice a day. They can clean it up in 15 minutes now.

I'm not sure what I'm allowed to say about it.

She was banned from the thread. If you have any questions about why, I suggest PMing her, as I am not sure the rules on if I am allowed to say why or not.

Thanks y'all for the thoughts on my tromping in foreign stuff into my coop.

I also have the thought that the purpose of natural chicken keeping is to help our birds build a strong immune system so that they can handle stuff better. Just makes me mad that I tromped right in there without even thinking. I was in a hurry to relieve my dad's caregiver so I ran into the house and got the food without even thinking. It didn't even dawn on me until I had made it all the way back to the people house.

I did give them some garlic and oregano in their feed tonight and will keep on for the next few days and just observe everyone.

So, A...
