Yep. I may try to make some I have two naked necks in with the silkies. Both girls. It will take a few generations to get them to what you see in pictures (they don't have showgirls here as far as I know!)

Delisha, I too am relieved it sounds as though things have stabilized. When you have a chance to gather your thoughts, I agree with others who recommend contacting both the feed store and Purina. Many people feed Purina foods. They may all be having problems they cannot identify as specifically related to the feed, or perhaps only those local to you if it was mishandled by the feed store or transporter.

You have more time with, and knowledge about, your birds than most people and in my opinion you identified and caught the problem fast. Your birds are very lucky.

Delish I'm so happy that you seem to be over the hump and your girls are coming around!! I hope their progress continues!! My Ayurvedic doctor put neon a liver cleanse once and it had dandelion,milk thistle & tumeric .... So whoever suggested that is dead on!! It work .... He said it cleans the blood.... I'll look for my paper and see if there are any other ingredients I'm forgetting.
You could try the ropa poultry oregano oil mixture that the commercial farmers use & is the one the article was written about. If you don't want to use antibiotics .... They sell it at my pet chicken.

My girls used the stress of waiting for news of your flock to treat themselves to a thanksgiving feast .... They said they were stress eating!!!

When they were finished......

Yeah they won't touch the spent summer bed that I want the to pick through!!!! They are no fools!!

I've had several 'great escapes' here at my place. Thankfully all have ended well, because as winter comes on the coyotes are hungreh.
