The Natural Chicken Keeping thread - OTs welcome!

you expect wrong. Sorry! Family's been in the US for centuries. (Well, it wasn't called the United States back then...)

But actually, I've recently spoken to an American woman who is living in Lybia. She says the way they treat their animals is terrible. And that's not on an industrial level. At least on the industrial level, they try to keep the animals alive long enough to get a good Butcher out of them, even if they are falling over dead

Wait what do you mean it wasn't called the united sates back then?

okay :D give me another guess, you don't  have fluoridated water? e.g. you are on tank water or in your state it is clear there is no fluoride in the water

Lol, I'm pretty sure we have Florida in out water here...crappy water, ask my fishtanks!

What makes me different? I have empathy. Unfortunately that is something that seems to be slowly deteriorating from the human race.

it's only been the United states for a couple centuries.

Hard to describe it, I'll just give you the definition of the word.
Conglomerate
Company
A conglomerate is a combination of two or more corporations engaged in entirely different businesses that fall under one corporate group, usually involving a parent company and many subsidiaries. Often, a conglomerate is a multi-industry company. Wikipedia

An example here would be how a toothpaste company also sells dog food. "Four put of five dentists agree" and then using the same marketing strategy to sell unhealthy dog food that in turn causes premature organ failures, cancers and death to the animals that eat it. The dog food is made of byproducts of other food manufacturing, where the "waste" is turned into pet food, or anything considered '"not for for human consumption'" like sick/dying animals or animals that have been euthanized from laboratories.
I don't even know where I'm going with this anymore, or what I started talking about I'm so sick about it...its a pretty wicked scheme, for sure.

I think that is a symptom of the disease, yes. The disease itself is the almighty greed and...as we already said...lack of empathy (aka selfishness)

And I wouldn't say they don't care about the consequences to the customer. In fact, I would say they entirely intend for these horrible things to happen so people can then in turn spend a fortune on healthcare items (conveniently made by their company and endorsed by the vets they instructed in universities about "animal nutrition" which they, conveniently, also wrote the curriculum for) (and no...I'm not exaggerating, I pray everyday that it wasn't true.
