My husband built me a Terrier proof brooder box and bought me 5 new babies: 3 Silver Laced Wyandottes and 2 White Amerucanas! They are cracking me up, they are so funny! They are good medicine

So cute! They are indeed good medicine. After all the butchering we had to do yesterday, I can't wait until I get some new babies to ease the pain.

I do not feed young chicks any thing but developer for two weeks, I put them on the ground as soon as I can and they get grasses and what mom would show them what to eat.

So, at 2 weeks you'd recommend I get a clump of our grass/dirt and put out some grit, right? Do I clip the grass so it's smaller? For some reason (even though it's been cold!) our grass is still greenish here! Thanks!

The barn caught fire and nothing is left. I don't even know.. I don't know what to say. My heart is broken.
