The Natural Chicken Keeping thread - OTs welcome!

Yup - a beautiful 74 degrees (F). Normally we start getting this weather in mid-March, but spring was delayed for unknown reasons this year - LOL. A lot of our early flowers started a number of weeks ago, and then got frozen. Now we're in the do-over portion of spring.
I bet your summers are brutal!

74 is PERFECT. weather. Dream weather.

It snowed today and the snow that fell is already gone. It's going to be relatively nice this week. Nice for us, not so nice compared to your 74 degrees.

In the 40's and 50's this week for highs.

Take care of your self..and get better soon

Thanks! I'm trying...

Brutal? Nope!! I lived in Texas for 10+ years. That was... warm. I used to work out when it was 100 F and thought that was normal. LOL!

VA is perfection, IMHO. Summers are usually in the 80-90 range, unlike TX which can have months on end where daytime temps don't go below 95+. And having a few days that are 110-115 are not that unusual there. That would be almost unheard of in VA!

Those pictures are awesome. I love that they are in the same position. Very cool. Sucks that you got snow after spring had finally showed up. I don't care where you live, snow in April (or late March in this instance) sucks.

Well that's not THAT bad. Not brutal. I thought with April at 74, your summers must be scorchers!

What is fascinating, is I made that video in about 20 minutes. One other thing y'all may or may not know about me is I used to sing in a barbershop quartet and love old soul harmonies of that genre and the southern baptist quartet style. Long ago I paid for audio mixing software, yesterday, I downloaded Audacity for free and laid down the birthday tracks. Found that I had Windows Movie Maker on my computer, added photo's added the wav file and Voila. Years ago, I would have NEVER let that track go public as it is terrible, but I have found chicken ladies are very forgiving. Besides.... it was all in fun.
